In Brief

  • The International Islamic Trade Finance Corporation (ITFC), member of Islamic Development Bank (IDB) Group and the GTRC's Trade and Transport Sub-team, are jointly organizing an “OIC High Level Forum on Trade Facilitation and Single Window for Enhanced Regional Economic Cooperation” with Islamic Centre for Development of Trade (ICDT) under the auspices of the Ministry of Industry, Commerce and New Technologies of the Kingdom of Morocco, in Casablanca, Morocco in Casablanca, during 25-26 February 2013.

In Brief

  • Sub-Saharan Africa is key strategic region for the ITFC and for the IDB Group. It is a region facing major development challenges, but at the same time, a region with tremendous opportunities. The region is vitally dependent upon trade to fuel its economic development and alleviate poverty; however it is lacking the financial and economic infrastructure to fully reach its trade potential.
