The Trade Cooperation and Promotion Program (TCPP) is collaborating with RL Division IsDB in a reverse linkages program between Mauritania and Palestine to support the agriculture transformation in South Mauritania through the assistance of Palestinian Agronomy Engineers.
The program will connect the two member countries to facilitate the exchange of expertise, technology and resources and help each other overcome development challenges.
It aims at developing the technical capacity of the stakeholders (farmers and institutions) intervening in the vegetables value chain links (production, transformation and valorization, national strategy) with a view of increasing the production and productivity and contributing to food security.
It is worth mentioning that the vegetables production in Mauritania is still marginal as it covers 30% of the population needs.
